D-AB is a positioning bar for two-microphone stereo rigs, designed to make spacing and angle easier to repeat. A-B is its primary use. Other two-microphone techniques may be possible depending on the microphone clips and mounting geometry; confirm the required X-Y or ORTF angles and spacing with the actual hardware. Combined with XD1, it can also be used in suspended rigs.
