Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account: email, password hash, email verification code (valid for 10 minutes)
• Orders and invoices: order number, product, amount, invoice header (when you provide it)
• License and devices: license key, activation status, number of bound devices, OS version, hostname hash (we do not collect device serial numbers that identify you personally)
• Device and logs: IP address, country or region approximately derived from the IP locally on our server, browser and device type, page path, access and download timestamps, and error logs (not including passwords, verification codes, or URL query parameters)
• Customer support: support requests you submit, email correspondence, summaries of WeChat conversations

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide core services: account login, order fulfillment, license activation and device binding
• Send service-related notices: registration verification, password reset, order status, license expiration reminders
• Provide customer support: respond to tickets, troubleshoot issues
• Operate and analyze the Site: measure page traffic, referrals, approximate country or region associated with an IP, and product download demand to improve content and troubleshoot delivery; IP addresses are not sent to a third-party geolocation lookup API
• Security and risk control: detect abnormal sign-ins, block credential stuffing and automated attacks
• Legal compliance: meet tax record retention and lawful disclosure obligations to authorities

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use your information to train general-purpose AI models. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Sharing and Disclosure

We share information with third parties only in the following cases:

• Payment processors: only the necessary order amount and order number; we do not pass full card numbers
• Email service provider (Tencent Exmail): only for transactional emails such as verification codes, order notifications, and password resets
• Cloud providers: the Site and database are deployed in the cloud; providers process data only on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality agreements
• Legal requirements: where required by law, regulation, litigation, or government compulsion, we disclose the minimum information necessary

Data Retention

• Account information: account lifetime + 30 days after cancellation (cooling-off period; thereafter anonymized)
• Orders and invoices: 10 years (statutory tax record retention)
• License records: license validity + 5 years (for after-sales and proof of rights)
• Site access and download event detail containing IP addresses: 90 days (rolling deletion; operations analytics, security audit, and support troubleshooting); daily aggregates without IP addresses or anonymous session identifiers may be retained long term
• Unverified codes: 10 minutes (auto-expire)

Your Rights

• Access: email info@dadaoaudio.com to request a copy of the information we hold about you
• Rectification: correct account information via your account or by contacting support
• Erasure / account closure: request account closure; we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days after identity verification
• Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal
• Complaint: if you believe our processing violates applicable law, you may lodge a complaint with the personal information protection authority in your jurisdiction

To protect your account, we may require identity verification before honoring these requests.

Accounts

• You must be at least 14 years old and have full civil capacity, or be a duly established legal entity
• Each email address may register one account only; you are responsible for all activity under your account
• Do not share your account, password, or verification code with others; if you suspect unauthorized access or a password leak, contact info@dadaoaudio.com immediately
• DADAO staff will never ask for your password or verification code for any reason
• You may request account closure at any time; once the closure request is approved, the account cannot be recovered

Orders and Pricing

• Orders become effective upon successful payment; product prices, specifications, and stock shown on the Site are not offers
• Prices are displayed in CNY (¥) or USD ($); the actual settlement currency is determined at checkout
• VAT ordinary invoices and VAT special invoices are available; invoice information must be submitted within 30 days of order completion
• Promotional prices, discounts, and gifts do not constitute commitments for future transactions

License Use

• Scope: personal use only. You may not resell, rent, transfer, or crack the license
• Prohibited: you may not circumvent the device limit, and you may not use the plug-in to train models that compete with DADAO
• Device release: when changing devices, you may release the old device yourself in your account; the number of releases is subject to reasonable risk control
