DADAOAi Linker

Connect your AI to your plug-ins.

DADAO Ai Linker is developed by DADAO Audio to connect local MCP-capable AI clients with compatible DADAO plug-ins in your DAW. Discover live instances, read official product knowledge, and use conversation to call the parameter controls and audio analysis tools exposed by each plug-in.

03Official DADAO product knowledge

01 / Capabilities

Connection. Control. Knowledge.

From the local engine to plug-in interfaces, DADAO gives every tool call a clear target and source of information.

01

Local connection engine

Discover compatible plug-ins running in the DAW, distinguish their instances and route AI requests to the selected target.

02

Plug-in control interfaces

The plug-in performs parameter operations and audio analysis. Available AI tools depend on its version and exposed capabilities.

03

Official product knowledge

Read DADAO product references and usage strategies. Signed documents are verified; valid cached or embedded documents remain available when an update fails.

02 / Workflow

AI, Linker and the plug-in each have a defined role.

01

AI client

  • Interpret your intended operation
  • Send tool requests over local MCP
02

DADAO Ai Linker

  • Discover and identify the target instance
  • Route requests and results locally
03

DADAO plug-in in the DAW

  • Execute exposed parameter and analysis operations
  • Return actual state, measurements or product documents

Linker provides no audio processing algorithms and does not gain control of the entire DAW. Ordinary third-party plug-ins do not automatically become AI-controllable.

03 / Setup

Four steps into your workflow.

Keep your familiar AI client and DAW. Linker takes care of the connection.

Open the setup guide
  1. 01

    Install the connection software

When official installers are available, use the DADAO installer for your platform. Product information and the Chinese manual are provided first.

  2. 02

    Load a compatible plug-in

Open your DAW, load a DADAO plug-in supporting this capability and enable its connection according to its instructions.

  3. 03

    Configure local MCP

Add a stdio connection named dadao in the AI client. The manual includes platform commands and a copyable setup prompt.

  4. 04

    Confirm the instance before operating

List real instances and verify the target code. Read its documents and parameters, then call supported tools and read back the results.

04 / Requirements

Check your working environment.

Compatibility depends on the system, AI client and plug-in. These requirements describe the current development version.

05 / FAQ

Before you connect.

Does it work with every AI and every plug-in?

The AI client must support local stdio MCP, and the plug-in must implement the DADAO control protocol. A web-only AI or ordinary third-party plug-in may not provide those capabilities.

Must the information window stay open?

No. The AI client starts the engine on demand. The menu-bar or tray icon means the engine is running, not that a plug-in is connected. Closing the information window does not stop the engine.

Is audio sent to the document server?

Official document update requests do not send audio, track names, current parameter values or instance IDs. How tool results are handled by an AI client depends on that client and its model service.

Do new plug-ins or documents require reinstalling Linker?

Compatible plug-ins can register their own tools, and compatible documents can update independently. Clients that cache tool lists may need a connection refresh. Protocol or system compatibility changes can still require a Linker update.

Are installers available now?

Product information and the Chinese manual are currently available. Installers are not yet offered; formal platform releases and native Windows qualification remain to be completed.
